The programmable pulse duration and acquisition delay overcome the inherent problem some thin-film PV materials experience when illuminated with short pulses. A proprietary power system reduces total process cycle time to 10 seconds, providing 50% greater production throughput over most existing systems, for more productivity per line. Comprehensive MS-Windows based test software allows the PV performance data to be easily integrated with process system software. Three XLP systems are currently offered matching price, performance, and size to customer PV panel test requirements, and reducing critical floor space in production environments.
