Performance Testing
In production environments,
throughput and reliability are what matters. With ever increasing
demands on production, it is critical that the systems employed perform to
specification with no down-time. Most importantly, the systems must ensure
that product quality is maintained.

Lighting / Iwasaki has years of experience supplying production equipment.
Additionally, we are constantly working with our customers to develop new
systems to improve productivity. In the solar simulation production
environment, our innovative continuous flow light
soaking systems have proven to provide outstanding throughput. Our new
XLP Series long pulse simulation systems will do the same for PV panel
performance testing. As more “thin-film” PV products are introduced, the
requirement for high quality long pulse simulation systems will
dramatically increase. The programmable pulse duration and acquisition
delay overcome the inherent problem some thin-film PV materials experience
when illuminated with short pulses. Whether you are looking for a small batch soak system
for a pilot plant, or a custom system for high volume production, EYE
Lighting / Iwasaki can assist you.

This new family of systems has been
designed specifically to meet ASTM / IEC test standards for PV
performance testing. Regardless of whether you need to test crystalline
or thin-film modules, these systems are perfectly at home
in either R&D or Production environments. A proprietary power
system reduces total process cycle time to 10 seconds, providing
50% greater production throughput over most existing systems,
for more productivity per line. Comprehensive MS-Windows
based test software allows the PV performance data to be easily
integrated with process system software.
Three XLP
systems are currently offered matching price, performance, and size
to customer PV panel test requirements, and reducing critical floor
space in production environments. Up to 1000 points can be acquired
per pulse, depending upon the selected acquisition rate and pulse
duration. The integrated high power bi-polar power supply provides
the ability to test all types of thin-film PV modules along with the
added advantage of performing dark I-V tests for diagnostics.

NEW -- EYE / Iwasaki Continuous Process
Light Soaking System
|
This custom continuous
process light soaking system is designed to handle PV panels up to
approximately 700mm wide. Due to the EYE Lighting / Iwasaki range of proprietary Solarlux™ lamps available, this system can be designed to meet any
ASTM/IEC classification from Class CCC to Class BBA. The system
configuration and length are dependent upon the production process
flow speed and required soaking dwell time.
