EYE Lighting/Iwasaki Electric's lighting technology has dramatically altered environmental test chamber design. Our innovative environmental light irradiation test chambers expand conventional test chamber capabilities by providing constant temperature and humidity control, along with the option of using a wide array of light sources to create the simulated solar environment you require for your specific test. Our wide range of testing equipment has been developed to meet the high performance and flexibility demanded by the rapidly changing PV development environment.

This system is ideal for performance testing during the initial development stage. The test chamber can provide from 1SUN to 3SUNs in a variety of environmental conditions. The continuous lighting system can be specified to meet your test requirements, from Class CCC to Class BBA performance.


This large, yet space efficient, chamber is designed as a cost effective solution for PV module output evaluation. It provides flexible and repeatable performance to assess the performance of modules up to 2,400mm x 1,800mm in size.

Economical Bench-top Systems

Developed to satisfy educational and industrial customer requirements for an economical bench-top unit, the system is designed to provide excellent performance and application flexibility. The system uses a cluster of four EYE/Iwasaki Solarlux™ continuous output reflectorized arc tube lamps that exceed the ASTM/IEC class B spectrum compliance standard. Power is supplied by EYE/Iwasaki electronic ballasts that meet the ASTM/IEC class A temporal stability standard. The bench-top enclosure can handle PV cells or modules up to 300mm x 300mm (12in x 12in). Irradiation uniformity is a function of the target area with class B performance up to 100mm x 100mm (4in x 4in), delivering true IEC Class BBA performance. This simple to use system includes adjustable irradiation power control for greater application flexibility. Since the system employs continuous output lighting, it can also be used for aging and soaking, along with development and performance testing. A system operation meter records lamp hours and provides notification for lamp replacement at specified lamp life.


     Fully Enclosed Temperature Controlled Chambers

This solar simulation chamber is designed to handle four (4) typical 60cm x 120cm PV panels in one batch. Uniquely, it can be configured using EYE Lighting / Iwasaki proprietary Solarlux™ ASTM/IEC Class B continuous output solar lighting system.

This IEC Class BBA chamber is an ideal laboratory test system providing unequaled flexibility in a minimum amount of floor area. It meets ASTM/IEC standards for light soaking/aging, hot spot testing, and max power determination using a portable I-V curve tracer.
